Blackpool Senior Seasiders’ Member Jim Cross was selected in the Nottingham Reds squad for the Parkinson’s Walking Football Tournament 2025.
Jim’s team won the Tournament at St. Georges Park on Saturday April 19th, beating Watford in the semi-final and Arsenal in the Final, both 1-0 wins.
Jim Cross from Blackpool Senior Seasiders was joined in the squad by Player/Manager Mick Hill from Garstang Walking Football Club.
Mick, 70, was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 2021 and has played Walking Football since 2019. Mick has represented the England Parkinson’s WF team and this is the second time he has won the Sports Parkinson’s Cup.
Also representing the North West in the Nottingham Reds squad were Colin Frankland and Steve Rollings, who both play for Halton and Morecambe Walking Football Clubs.
