Ken Philbin Memorial Golf Day 2026

Share Post:

On Wednesday 8th July, eleven Blackpool Senior Seasiders members gathered for our annual Ken Philbin Memorial Golf Day, remembering our much-missed friend and club member, Ken.

The day got underway with a bacon butty before everyone was told which handicap they would be playing from. Unsurprisingly, there was plenty of good-natured moaning before anyone had even hit a golf ball!

Played in glorious sunshine, the standard of golf varied from “tour professional” to “where did that one go?”, but the laughter and banter never stopped. As always, the day was about enjoying each other’s company, remembering Ken, and having a great day together.

A big thank you to everyone who took part and helped make another enjoyable day in Ken’s memory. Events like this are a reminder that our club is about far more than football – it’s about friendship, laughter and remembering those who helped make Blackpool Senior Seasiders such a special club.

Photos from the day have been shared on the club’s Golf WhatsApp group, and we hope everyone who took part had a fantastic day.

We look forward to doing it all again next year!
