Born in Salford 1956 in a terraced house, went to a crap school, but loved sport and represented Salford boys at rugby and football. Left at 15 and spent 4 years as apprentice Carpenter/ Joiner, lived part time in Leeds for 2yrs while training.
Played in the Manchester leagues in various teams and various standards played as midfielder, then centre defence.
Moved to Fylde area at 23. We lived in Layton, Cleveleys and now in Poulton-le-Fylde in our self-built house. I married Denise and have 2 children. I retired at 63 from my small double glazing business. Now found football again with Blackpool Senior Seasiders.
