GMWFL Over 75s 09.03.26

First round of fixtures for our Over 75s at Heywood, managed by Steve Waller.

First Heywood session saw the newly reformed Blackpool Senior Seasiders over 75’s gain a hard earned 3 points.

First 3 games ended goal less but had a seemingly well struck goal by evergreen striker Les Turner against Rochdale Strollers disallowed.

Found ourselves 2-0 down in the final game against Ribble Valley, but hit back with a sublime left foot strike by Ian Jones. Despite late pressure, we just couldn’t find the equaliser; the game was a great advertisement for over 75’s WF, though.
