A good early effort from Bob flew just wide. Bill fashioned a good chance when he twisted, turned and shot, but the keeper made a smart save. Bill made another good chance, which was blocked, and the ball fell to BSS, but a miskick saw the chance gone. Steve Winter then drove a shot wide. Another good effort from Bob was well saved by the keeper. Another good break from BSS saw Jim Campbell force the keeper into another save. A rare attack from Ribble was dealt with comfortably by Steve Hyde. A late foray from Ribble saw them hit the post.
