Dome – Fleetwood Flyers 4, Seasiders 2

Lost 4-2 but much improved on the last time we played them. Mark Jackson (65s Manager) stepped in to replace a sick Duan Playforth in goal on the morning of the game.
We hit the woodwork 3 times and their keeper was the busier of the two.

Blackpool were fighting for the runners up spot, as Fleetwood were already crowned champions last month.

Shortly after the first whistle some sloppy passing led to an early Fleetwood goal, quickly followed by a second.

BSS finally started to get a hold of the game and settled down, but a loose ball saw them 3-0 down.

BSS were gaining momentum and rattled the post and crossbar before Chris Moody slotted one home to make it 3-1 before the half time break.

The second half started with BSS on top but again were punished by a single Fleetwood break making it 4-1.

All out Blackpool pressure saw Moody thunder in a second goal, and on the balance of play BSS could have had a couple more if it wasn’t for the keeper and the woodwork.

Game finished 4-2 to Fleetwood and BSS runners up in the winter series. Moody and myself would like to thank every player that gave their time, every spectator that came to support. Ian Jones for arranging the kits, Nick and Kristen Cunliffe of Red Star Wealth for the kit sponsorship. Al Addelston for paying the bills, Steve Hyde and Les Turner for their continued support and backing.
